Some background ... This was purchased to replace an old Sharp HP20U Blu-Ray and some of the characteristics of a network player DLink DSM-520 media.Having also owned the Sony BDP-S570 (the model before the S580), for a brief period as a first replacement effort, I decided to come back and get this new BDP-S580, however, in the hope that it will eventually correct or improve on a lot of flaws in the DLNA 570.
Let me say up front that I like this unit, but have some concerns. 1) the Blu-ray load times are much faster than many other devices out there....

From my understanding my sony vaio is suppose to play Blu-ray. Kick-Ass I bought today and I put the disc on Blu-ray and did not work. I have windows media player and iTunes to play DVDs. Why not working?
